Meet Coach Moses
Moses grew up with a dream of becoming a professional boxer. Although his own journey into professional boxing took a different path, his passion for the sport never left him.
Today, he is using that passion to help children who share the same dream.
At Munyonyo Boxing Club, Coach Moses trains and encourages young people who hope to become professional boxers in the future. He helps them develop their skills while encouraging discipline, confidence and determination.
Moses believes that with the right support and opportunity, children can grow their talents and work toward their dreams.
His story reminds us that sometimes a dream can take a different path — and still become a way of creating a new opportunity for someone else.
The Children & Their Dreams
Every child has something they can become.
At Munyonyo Boxing Club, children are given a place to explore their talent, learn discipline and build confidence through boxing.
For some of these children, the dream is to one day become professional boxers. Their dreams may be big, but every dream begins with an opportunity to learn, practise and grow.
We believe that supporting a child's talent should never come at the expense of their education. Education gives children a foundation for their future, while developing their talents gives them another way to discover their potential.
With encouragement, guidance and the right opportunities, these young people can continue developing their abilities and believing in what is possible.
Their talent deserves a chance. Their dreams deserve a chance.
Why We Want to Help
This story touched us.
As we build New Day Initiative with a focus on creating better opportunities for children, we believe it is important to look beyond their immediate needs and also see their talents, dreams and potential.
When we learned about Coach Moses and the children at Munyonyo Boxing Club, we saw something that reflects what we believe in: children deserve opportunities to discover what they can become.
Moses is giving his time and passion to children who dream of developing their boxing talents. We believe that with the right encouragement and support, more children can have the opportunity to grow, learn and pursue their dreams.
